Bob and Bonnie’s Donuts and Cakes has been a Fond du Lac specialty bakery for 35 years and counting. It has been a family owned and operated business starting with Bob and Bonnie Badura in 1978 and with new owners Jessica and Dan Fishelson in December 2013. Donutland gave birth to Bob and Bonnie’s Donuts. In 1978, Bob and Bonnie Badura, who opened Donutland, dropped the franchise to create their new venture in donut making in 1993. They began making donuts on a wholesale basis, selling them to convenience stores from Fond du Lac to Green Bay. Their business continues today at 54 Halbach Court, with many local convenience stores, hotels, car dealerships, and businesses carrying their donuts throughout the Fox Valley. With a desire to keep in touch with former Donutland customers, Bob and Bonnie opened their warehouse donut making facility to the public every Thursday for a “Hot Donut Sale” from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. The practice continues today and now it starts at 7:30 am. There are two varieties of donuts — the cake donut and the raised (yeast) donut. Both are deep fried and coated with a variety of glazes, sugars, sprinkles, and other toppings. In addition to donuts, we make many other delicacies popular at their former Donutland — Persians, filled Bismarks, Long Johns and the Chop Suey rolls. The dense Chop Suey is a longtime favorite around here. It’s probably most in demand. It has three different fruits in it, and the dough is chopped to form an unusual shape.Aside from the famous donuts, Bob and Bonnie’s also services the wedding industry with the area’s best tasting cakes and the most amazing decorations and designs from simple to elaborate fondant designs. Cupcakes are also a huge favorite with specialty favors such as Brown Eyed Susan, Black Eyed Susan, and Red Velvet Cake. Cupcakes can also be decorated to celebrate your wedding, baby shower, birthdays and so much more!
